In March, CLSB hosted the TEDx Square Mile annual conference consisting of 16 speakers giving talks based on the theme ‘The School of Tomorrow.’ TEDx gave students the chance to pitch their own talk on the day. One Sixth Former wowed the audience with his 15 minute talk entitled ‘Not saying no: making your ideas come true’. Also this month over 100 CLSB boys spent their Saturday night sleeping outside in the School’s Courtyard in order to raise money and awareness for Centrepoint. CLSB also marked 30 years at its Queen Victoria Street site. On 19 March 1987, following decades of planning, the new School building was officially opened by The Princess Royal. To mark the occasion, the School organised exhibitions and music recitals in her honour. Thirty years on, this year sees the grand opening of the new Levene Learning Centre, allowing students to work both collaboratively and independently.
