1. Following the 2009 City of London Ward Elections, we endorsed an immediate review of the elections process instigated by the Town Clerk as a result of a number of shortcomings which had occurred during the process. The review was to be conducted by the Deputy Town Clerk, the Remembrancer and the Assistant City Solicitor and its remit was to investigate the problems associated with the 2009 elections, their causes and how improvements can be made for the future. A Working Party of the Policy and Resources Committee was also established to inform and consider the findings of the review. |
