The City’s Business

Following the successful launch of ‘The City’s Business’; a guide sharing best practice in tackling youth unemployment, the Responsible Business and Supporting London team have organised a number of ‘The City’s Business’ inspired events with some of our partner organisations.

Recent events have included; ‘The impact of the Apprenticeship Levy on the Investment Management sector’ – a high level roundtable discussion at Mansion House hosted by Alderman Parmley (Lord Mayor Elect), with guest speakers including David Mellor (Chairman of the Government’s Apprenticeship Delivery Board) and Victoria Nye (Director of the Investment Association); The launch of Work Experience Week 2016 ‘Quality matters: making work experience count’ at The Old Library in Guildhall, with speakers including Alderman Parmely (Lord Mayor Elect) and Barbara Hamilton (Head of Adult Community Learning); and ‘The City’s Business: target support where it is needed’ – a panel discussion presented in partnership with the Prince’s Trust, Morgan Stanley, London Youth and The Mercers’ Company, with speakers including Alderman Allison Gowman and Debby Ounsted CBE. Along with hosting a number of events, the team are also promoting ‘The City’s Business’ through social media and mainstream media channels.
